Brief or Guide on Microsoft Excel Training


If you are someone who looks for a job right now, most business or companies require at least basic knowledge of using this:


1.       Open the excel file ( you can use any excel file, whether you are using excel for PC or Macintosh). You can try adding the details by typing whatever you want.
Note: when you are doing a test excel work, make sure that you don’t work on complicated data to prevent damaging them.
2.       When you hit enter after the data and you noticed that you have misspelled it and you need to edit it. You move your cursor to the cell. You cannot edit the data directly from that cell, but you do is edit it in the formula tab, then click enter. The formula tab is like the browser tab where (long empty line).
3.       When you save it just go to the “file” menu then click on save as or save.
This is just a simple usage of Microsoft excel. Just simple as typing, editing and saving would be a good to go and then you can just simply tour the entire excel and other functions.

When you are creating an expense report and you don’t know what to do, good thing about Microsoft excel most especially the higher versions, they provide really good templates to use:

1.       Open the excel
2.       Click on new
3.       Choose template
4.       Then click on expense reports

For other templates, you can also choose anything you like or whatever you are designated with, example when you want to create a calendar. With the template, you can choose any calendars that you want that were already provided by the templates. There are a lot of designs and formats that would surely be suitable for your taste.

Some important files that other use in the office is CSV, having a background on this is recommended. Let me take you for short walk through on importing and saving a data as CSV:

When saving files in Microsoft Excel, one of these is CSV or Comma Separated Values. This is used by others in order to move data from programs that datas may be incompatible. The data or values in the sheet are separated by commas and used for computing. An example look of CSV is (Name,Gender,Address,PhoneNumber). In order to know more, you can check out on this article.
